The old swing bridge at Stanley Dock
is suffering from sad decline and the
time will soon come when it may not
be there, and the whole area redeveloped,
probably into luxury flats, and the spirit and
history of the place will be lost for ever.
In this painting I've tried to capture the spirit
of the place. A place that has seen so much history.
